Lowes in Tampa, Florida - Don't buy Lowe's air conditioner!!!!!BEWARE

They sell Frigidaire brand ac and when it quits the parts are not available for it anywhere.and it quit on the hot summer and right at the year warranty beware don't by there junk!???

Bought Central air conditioning and part went bad less than a year .Now I have to pay over 400.00 to have fixed not including the freeon that is 200 a pound .Lowes will not cover labor .My neighbor bought same unit and same thing happened.How fair is this . Mind you have a five year warranty This is from Lowe’s we bought

It's not a Lowes air conditioner. It is a Frigidaire air conditioner.

If you have a complaint it should be with Frigidaire.

In most cases window air conditioners are something you replace if they quit working rather than repairing them. Even if parts were available the labor charges can easily exceed the price of replacing the air conditioner.

Frigidaire in Lake Charles, Louisiana - Heat/cool window unit lasted 2 months

I bought 2 heat/cool window units in summer 2013 plus a 5 year extended warranty. One unit lasted 3 months. I called Conn's for repair. They said there were 3 repairmen in my area. All 3 refused to work on the unit. Conn's said it could not be replaced because it is a seasonal item. Called Frigidaire customer service. They took all my information and said we will be in touch in a few days. It's been a month--no response. I wrote a letter--no response. In the meantime my 80 year old parents are freezing in a mobile home with no heat because they bought this piece of junk when they could not afford to replace their central heat unit.

Frigidaire in San Diego, California - Air Conditioner came without installation parts-getting parts is turning into a nightmare

We purchased a casement window air conditioner online, which arrived on July 4th. When we opened the box to install it, we realized that almost ALL of the parts required for installation were missing (14 out of 18 installation parts). *Disclaimer-everytime I mention "contacting Frigidaire", I should note that I have spent no less than 20 minutes EACH time either on hold, or being transferred to different departments. On one call I was transferred from "Parts" to "Warranty" to "Customer Service" and then back to "Parts". I contacted Frigidaire on 7/5, and was told by customer service that they would send out the installation "kit". 11 DAYS LATER a hardware kit arrived. Just screws and bolts, still missing 6 parts. I call Frigidaire again. Gave them the exact parts that were missing, and was told by customer service that 3 "kits" should have gone out, but only 1 was sent. They would promptly send out the other 2. 5 DAYS LATER a seal kit arrived. Still missing 3 parts. Contacted Frigidaire AGAIN. Was told that indeed, my account showed that there 6 missing parts and that only 3 were sent. No explanation, no apology, just fact. Spent over an hour on the phone with a woman who couldn't figure out which parts to send me. She offered to resend all 3 three kits via Next Day mail. That was 2 days ago and the mail has come and gone, and nothing from Frigidaire. I just called for a tracking number and apparently my parts haven't even shipped yet. I contacted Frigidaire via email, and they responded by recommending that I exchange the air conditioner. The thing weighs close to 70 lbs! I can't just pick it up and throw it in my trunk! I will likely end up having recruit help to to return the unit if the parts they're sending (eventually) won't allow me to install the unit, and if so, I will NEVER under ANY CIRCUMSTANCE ever buy another Frigidaire appliance, and I will advise every single person that I know to avoid their products like the plague-their customer service is an insult, and the company literally just doesn't care about wasting people's time, money and energy.
