I walked over to open the Frigidaire refrigerator that our landlord purchased, somewhere around June of 216, and the handle broke off in my hand. It broke right in the middle of the screw at the top.
I did not contact Frigidaire because I looked online and found out they don't seem to do anything about it, even when it is under warranty because it's "cosmetic". We ordered one online and it was $50 for this cheap piece of plastic that I bet will break again in another year because it appears to be a very poor design. Although I have considered purchasing a Frigidaire in the past, I won't ever get one now. Here is a screen shot of the date I sent the landlord a message about the old fridge.
She replaced it shortly after that.
And here are screen shots of the fridge handle today... around a year later.
