Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. They sent a e credit card

Original review updated Apr 03, 2025
We purchased a standard-sized refrigerator/freezer a little of a year ago. Within six months of purchasing the unit, it broke down.
We called the manufacturer to have it repaired because it fell within the warranty (we purchased extended).

After 4 service calls, it was never repaired. No one knew how. This has been going on for 4 months. Now, with this unit broken down.

No ice and water running on my floor since December.
I have called multiple times requesting my money back. They want a service person to say it is not repairable but have no one in the area to come here to assess the problem.
They should be sued for selling such crap.
I will go spend my hard-earned money elsewhere, and I will certainly no longer be purchasing Frigidaire products,

Similar issue ... Frigidaire refrigerator bought at Home Depot and delivered in late July, 2025.

Ice maker stopped working within the first week. We also live in a rural area, with very few options (according to Frigidaire) in terms of service companies who can service the refrigerator. After more than six calls to Frigidaire Customer Service, over a two month period, one of the service companies finally came, diagnosed (frozen ice maker line) and fixed the problem. I know that between calling and/or texting with both Frigidaire and the service companies, I had to have spent more than a 40-hour work week trying to just get a service company to keep the appointments!

I got absolutely NOTHING from Frigidaire for my time and trouble. I feel fortunate that I was not stuck with a refrigerator whose ice maker wasn't working.

Same issue, bought in Dec 2024, started having issues immediately. They said in June it could not be repaired, only replaced. I do not want another piece of their crap appliances!

Guest

AMEN!! Frigidaire is garbage.

Same problem. Bought a Frigidaire Gallery Side-by-Side Icemaker fridge. Not enough space and the interior pieces broke off little-by-little within a year. Icemaker not working.

Should have stuck with my old fridge, but wanted to upgrade due to a renovation.

New models are not the same as the old faithfuls. Don't buy.

Oven keeps breaking.

Bought an extended warranty, had several calls for oven circuit board burning out. Now being I dont trust the oven, especially being it caught on fire twice.

Decided to buy another extended warranty figuring it would break again and it did same thing. Now they are telling me that they have know records other then on the new extended warranty about any problems.

Guess there waiting for my house to burn, so I cant file anymore complaints! dont buy a Frigidaire wall oven

I purchased the countertop ice machine that was supposed to make 26 lbs of ice daily. First when filled to waterline I put ice catcher in which goes pass line into water melts all ice.

Have hardly used unless Im home to dump it before it defrost. I plugged it in this week to use an guess what it will no longer draw water into ice tray makes a big noise.

I was told today it last 365 days nothing will be done about it. Well I can with bad reviews and negative ratings.i purchased thru Amazon.

New Frigidaire/Electrolux Oven Range Needs Repair 3 Times in 18 Months

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Sep 23, 2025

The company called today and actually offered to replace the appliance. Relieved as I was to finally be seen and heard, it was unnecessary to put me through this ordeal.

Original review Sep 22, 2025
The same issue occurs with new Frigidaire Electrolux oven range. It stops working while cooking.

First time it happened okay, maybe it's just a faulty part. Covered under warranty.
Second time a few months later, still covered under warranty, but warranty is about to expire. After a lengthy discussion with a very difficult series of customer service representatives, they agree to extend the warranty for an additional period of time.
Just before that extended warranty is to expire, the exact same issue occurs again.
At first, they refuse to cover the repair saying it is out of warranty. One rep actually acknowledged it was covered under the extended warranty.

But she hung up on me.
After getting disconnected twice, the third rep escalates the issue and the offers a "final courtesy repair". I appreciate the gesture, but it doesn't address the underlying and cause of the issue. It's a faulty product.
I just wrote to all the higher ups I could find on the internet: Kevin Hickey, Carole Jacheo, Yannick Fierling, Keith McLoughlin and aisupport (reported to be the "back room" for warranty coverage).

So far I got an automatic out of the office reply from Carole Jacheo.
An appliance you pay $1000 for should not break down 3 times in 18 months nor should the buyer be expected to pay for any future repairs when obviously, the product is substandard and has not been properly fixed by the company.
I chose this brand based on their brand image of quality products. Had I looked a little deeper I would have found others reporting the exact same issues.
I want an oven range that I paid $1000 for to work properly and reliably.

My Mothers freezer broke when it was only10 months old! She lost hundreds of dollars of frozen meat, veggies, etc.

it needed 3 parts. Heater, board, harness Assy.

Model#ffuezozzawgbb, serial #bb4280****. Bought at Woodruff Appliances..(715)356-**** under Louise Macki-Weidman. She is 93 years old and on a very tight budget since her Husband died in March.

She is hoping you could compensate for some of the food lost due to a faulty part?

Also, we would like to warranty it for longer obviously. Thank you.

Icemaker pronounced dead at 22 months. Is this the way you do business, Frigidaire?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased a GRMG2272CF that quit making ice consistently about 9 months ago. I learned on Friday that the problem is the ice line heater, which is shorted and it's foamed into the insulation, making it non-repairable.

In 3 days, I've not been able to get a response from customer service.

I am quite angry. Why no call back?

User's recommendation: Having gone thru a fridge every 3 years, we paid extra for a "dependable" Frigidaire. To have the service guy tell us that, due to bad engineering by Electrolux, our icemaker cannot be fixed. I've not heard back from company in 3 days. Based on this, I'd recommend purchasing almost anything but a Frigidaire

Customer service is lacking and impossible to order parts due to poor quality of the refrigerator.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Refrigerator parts number in the owners manual does not correspond with the item number on the website. Put in your model number then they ask for part number good luck you get an item number also many photos of the parts are not on the website.

Tried calling waited for over an hour then tried the call back option no call back still waiting.

You would think that they would cross-reference the manual part number with the item numbers on the website.

Tried chat got a nasty person and now I am back to square one. Needless to say the quality of the refrigerator leaves much to be desired. This is the second time the roller broke off the crisper drawer shelf.

It's not strong enough to hold up with weight of vegetables under normal use. Do they test this for weight or use apparently not.

User's recommendation: Shop around check on line complaints first. If you have children this will not hold up with use. We are two adults and this part has been replaced before.

I called to ask for tech support and was told (by someone with poor English) that I needed a service call. That was somewhat disappointing but acceptable. Need replacement or refund on not working freezer fridge

Have a new ref/freezer mod FFTR2045VS8 ser BA5061**** bought 2 months ago. Had 2 service calls as the freezer gasket kept on getting ice build-up.

Froze up evaporator 2 weeks into use. Had to defrost the freezer to get airflow over the evap again. Told tech I do not think the defrost circuit is working, but the tech replaced the door gasket. Lost cooling and all food while on vacation in France.

The compressor probably leaked down its charge and froze up the evaporator. Was mfg eng and qc mgr for 50 yrs. In cryogenics for 5, know how to design, troubleshoot and fix everything. Want a better one or money back.

Have to remove house and fridge doors to get in and out of the basement. Was just a backup as I have 2 other fridges. The new piece of crap lost $200 of chicken and steaks as I thought it was the best place to keep them. The thing stinks like rotten chicken now and stinks up the whole basement.

It's still plugged in and still has a frozen evaporator. The latest fiasco was missed service calls. Was supposed to be PM, came AM, then the next day, but cancelled ticket. I will be surprised if I get a response as to how poor your product and customer service are.

This is my 2nd failed Frigidaire product. Why did I buy?

New refrigerator still not working properly, after multiple service calls

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

We purchased a complete Frigidaire kitchen set delivered in early May 2025. The refrigerator's door handle could not be installed.

They ordered a new handle. The seal around the freezer does not seal and we have a constant drip of condensation. The warranty work company has been here 3 times and can not fix the problem. We have had nothing but a run around from Frigidaire as well as the warranty work company.

This has been going on since May, it is now August and we are done with Frigidaire. Their customer service is the worst and there is no resolution.

We have spent way too much time on the phone with both companies. We just want you to take the refrigerator back and give us a refund.

VERY similar issue -- although our problem was our new refrigerator's ice maker wasn't making ice, we had the same CUSTOMER SERVICE experience. Had to call Frigidaire over six times, only to have them book another appointment with the same service person who never kept the appointment -- While we were home, waiting for them, they just never showed up; which, of course, meant we had to place ANOTHER call to Frigidaire.

I estimate that, between the calls and texts with either Frigidaire or one of the two service people they were using, I spent probably well over a 40-hour work week trying to get them to come and fix/replace the ice maker on the frige. I STRONGLY recommend everyone avoid Frigidaire appliances -- You will save yourself a lot of time and stress.

Original review Aug 22, 2025
I first contacted Electrolux/Frigidaire customer service in early August about the ice maker in my new Frigidaire refrigerator (less than 2 months old) not working. They set me up with an August 5th appointment with a repair person.

The repair person never showed up, so I contacted them again.
Since that 2nd contact, I have been scheduled for an appointment with this same repair person on the following dates:
August 12
August 18
August 22
All with the same result: This repair person (Diversified/Davis Appliance) never keeps the appointment. In the meantime, we are having to buy bags of ice.
Each of the times I've contacted customer service, I've asked them to try sending a different repair service/repair person, because, for whatever reason, this company/person obviously is not going to keep any appointment they make with him.

At this point, I don't know WHAT to do. I guess I will, once again, contact customer service, but I have no confidence that they will do anything other than schedule this company/person with an appointment for me.

Air Conditioner issue

Do not buy Frigidaire products. No customer service.

Original review Jul 24, 2025
Air conditioner went dead at 22 months. I purchased a Frigidaire A/C from Walmart in late July 2023.

The unit worked fine. On July 3 this year, I ran the unit all day preparing for the Fourth, went in to start the unit in the AM of the Fourth, and the unit was dead. Nothing. We have a green light at the plug, but the unit does nothing.

I sent an email to Frigidaire and Walmart to no help. Walmart said they would contact the manufacturer and get back to me - I'm still waiting. This is a 15,000 BTU unit costing over six hundred dollars, which is a lot for someone on a fixed income. I had no idea air conditioners only lasted 23 months.

I wanted to buy American; however, I bought a smaller Hisense (China) unit for another office 5 years ago, and it's still working fine. I would appreciate their response, good or bad, and if this is what their customer service is like, I will never buy another product of theirs again. I will advise all friends to do the same. They were not the cheaper, but I wanted to buy American.

Oh well, live and learn.
Regards,
